Lazy
F Guest Ranch Pricing and/or Lazy F Working Ranch Pricing
"WHAT
YOU SEE IS WHAT YOU PAY"
$195/day/person (includes taxes and gratuity) In fact, all our prices include tax and gratuity!!
Almost
every other dude, resort, guest or working ranch gives you a "Base Price"
and
tells you to "add tax and gratuity". Ok about tax but I have a problem
lying about "gratuity". I only use the word "gratuity" because other ranches
use the word "gratuity". (read explanation at bottom)
I give you the final price with tax and "gratuity" figured for you. This is the European Way and I like it. You take the price per activity and multiply by the number of times you want to do it and that is what you pay.
If I were pricing like other ranches, then I would say..
Lazy F Base Price = $163.80/night/person (add tax and gratuity)Suddenly, comparing us to other ranches, price wise, looks MUCH better!!
Adding
6% Texas Hotel Tax ($11.70) and 10% Gratuity ($19.50) = $195
(remember
tax and gratuity are calculated from the final price of $195,
not
the "base" price of $163.80)
"Gratuity" makes you think I give my cowboys
and cowgirls "something extra" because I charge you a "gratuity".
Bet you believe the "Tooth Fairy" gives
you $100 for every tooth you lose in a bar fight, Dude! Let me take you
to the
"Eight Ball" Club near here and when you
come out, hold your teeth in one hand and hold your other hand out for
a "gratuity."
If you get bored, look for a Scarecrow
searching for the Wizard of Oz. Follow him to the Wizard and ask him for
the same thing the Scarecrow wants.
Or stand there, click your heels, and
repeat the words over and over, "Pain Brings Experience and Experience
Brings Wisdom!"
What "Gratuity" REALLY means is ... "more
money for the ranch" but it sounds nicer. Like the government!!
Let me hand you the "Clue Phone" and tell
you I pay tax and the "gratuity" goes in my pocket to feed horses, etc
or
take my daughter to the movies. (more
like, pay for more "text messaging!!")
WHAT IS A FACT
I pay my young cowhands, like my 15 year
old daughter and her friends from high school,
who have worked here since they were 5
years old, the same wages I pay an adult.
The same pay for the same work. Colonel
Allen's Constitutional Amendment for Women and Young People.
