Conference and Meeting Center
The Pilgrim Community Center can seat 150 at chairs and tables in the auditorium. It has a Men's and a Ladie's bathrooms. It has a full kitchen with counter, stove, dining room and 2 refrigerators. The building is fully airconditioned and has a stage. Outside is a shade pavillion and two enclosed pavillions with BBQ grills.
The abandoned cotton gin town of Pilgrim is less than 3 miles from our ranch. You can easily ride our horses there. Besides an abandoned residence and two homes, there is only the old school building, where my grandmother taught school in the early 1900's. My memories of the old Pilgrim School was as a small boy before TV. It was where all the neighbors met on the weekend to talk, dance, BBQ and us kids would meet our friends and play. Abandoned and run-down, it was purchased by a local group dedicated to restoring the old building like new ... OH MY GOSH did they succeed. This is a GREAT meeting or conference hall.
