The way I solve "Taking Credit Cards" on the ranch is to send my guests to the bank or ATM. The guests can draw out cash and pay it to me. In order to draw out large amounts, you need to go to the bank on a day (usually a weekday) when they are open.
When I took credit cards years ago, I paid monthly for "owning" the credit card machine; I paid a substantial percentage of each guest payment; and I paid a monthly fee for the credit card company to accept payments from the machine... OMG!!.
Of course, I passed the cost on to you, my guests. Now ... I don't have any costs and the bank and ATM charge you just a small flat fee.
